Ranveer gets acting lessons BOLLYWOOD

Actor Ranveer Singh shares how important actor Anil Kapoor is in his life and how his acting is influenced by Kapoor’s work

Actor Ranveer Singh (far right) says that during the shoot of one of the sequences of his next film, director Aditya Chopra observed that he was acting like Anil Kapoor (right) and told him to act like himself.

“Befikre’s shoot was going on in Paris and Adi (Chopra) sir cut a shot, came from behind the monitor and said ‘Yaar, you have started acting like Anil Kapoor. After sharing screen space in Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) there has been a deep impact of him on you. So now in the next take, you give Ranveer’s shot, and not Anil’s,” says Ranveer.

The 31-year-old actor even imitated Anil’s expressions and mannerisms at the event. “Actually he’s the biggest mastikhor of all, when I see him I get into masti mood or looking at me, he comes into masti mood; it’s just always a riot. How can I explain what happens after I see him? I really am in love, and infatuated by him,” he adds.

The duo are related as Anil’s wife Sunita is Ranveer’s aunt. Anil had previously said that he would want to see his daughter Sonam being paired opposite Ranveer and had even approved him as the choice for the role of his Lakhan in the remake of the film Ram Lakhan (1989).

Ranveer adds, “He is one of the reasons why I ever wanted to become an actor. He is a legend, an icon. He is one of the most talented, most handsome men to grace our silver screen. I am happy for him. I’m always excited about anything related to him. I share a very special bond with Anil sir and I know how much his team has worked from the heart on this series.”
