‘Never been secretive about fondness for Sid’

There has been speculation about actor Alia Bhatt’s love life — first, that she was dating co-star Sidharth Malhotra, and recently, that they had broken up. Alia clarifies that her fondness for Sidharth is still the same.

“People have been talking about my break up. But there was no issue ever. My equation with Sidharth is good... earlier it was okay, but now it’s good,” says Alia. “If two people don’t talk to one another for a while, it is assumed they’ve broken up. I’ve never been secretive about my fondness for Sidharth. It’s at the same level, I guess we can be happy (laughs). Things change every second, every day. Our equations will also keep changing and get better,” adds the 23-year-old.

There were reports that she recently threw a party to introduce Sidharth as her beau to her friends. “That’s absolute c**p. He isn’t a new person that I have to introduce him to anybody. Everyone knows who he is,” says Alia. So, there’s no truth to this? “Even if he was (my boyfriend), and if I had a boyfriend, I’d never throw a party to introduce him. I would just say it normally. I have never thrown parties in my life,” says the actor, who recently got back from a vacation in London. “It was lovely. I needed to go away. But I feel I went away for too long because I’m not used to taking such long breaks. The highlight of my trip was attending Coldplay and Beyonce’s concerts. I’ve never been so excited,” she says.
