- Yashika Mathur

Actor Ashish Sharma (right) believes that introducing improved special effects and VFX technology is turning the tables for the TV industry.

“Our shows were limited, when it came to visual effects. We almost shot with no camera movements. However, now things are changing and television shows are taking up advanced technology,” says Sharma, who is currently playing the role of Ram in a mythological show.

“It not only brings in more audience for the show but also changes the notion about TV that’s growing into something more powerful,” he adds.

Talking about his preference of shows, he feels it’s important to connect with every character he plays. “I’ve grown up on literature and mythological stories. They’ve fascinated me since childhood and I believe that every character that I portray on screen is an extension of my personality to some degree.”

The character of Ram has brought immense popularity for the actor. He says, “Once this old lady at the airport asked me, ‘Are you Ram? Can I touch your hair? Is it real?’ and I happily obliged.” ormer beauty pageant winner Ankita Shorey (below) says that she had signed the third part of the popular franchise Hera Pheri last year, but is not aware when the shooting for the film will start. She feels that only the producers would know. “I had always maintained that whenever I will sign on the dotted line, I will talk about it. So yes, I have signed the contract last year and I am very happy that I have got my money. However, I am still waiting for the film to go on floors and only the producers can tell you when is it starting,” Ankita said on the sidelines of an event for a jewellery brand.

More than a year ago, an event to launch Hera Phera 3 was held, where actors like Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, John Abraham, and Abhishek Bachchan along with the director Neeraj Vora among others were present. Later, actor Neha Sharma had confirmed that she would be cast opposite John. Nargis Fakhri was also reportedly cast for the film.

Actor Akshay Kumar, who was an integral of the previous movies, was not supposed to be in the film. But according to recent reports, Akshay will be back in the film. Ankita also said, “I have started looking into other projects now, because I was supposed to be launched by the film, which is getting delayed.
