Celeb Xmas update: Madhuri visited Taj Mahal, Virat-Anushka were near Rishikesh

Festivals are best celebrated with family and friends. This Christmas, actors Madhuri Dixit and Anushka Sharma spent quality time with their loved ones, but away from the hustle-bustle of Mumbai. While Mads and family visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, Anushka was spotted with beau, cricketer Virat Kohli, in Uttarakhand. Since the media had prior information about Madhuri’s visit to the iconic monument, the 49-year-old was welcomed by paparazzi who had positioned themselves at the red platform of the Taj since morning.

Accompanied by husband, Dr Shriram Nene, sons Arin and Ryan, and another family, Madhuri reached Taj at around 2.30pm and stayed for an hour. However, it proved to be a hectic affair, as the area was packed with visitors. Mads and group moved within the security cover provided by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. Dr Nene clicked some selfies with Taj Mahal in the backdrop.

Fans shouted ‘Madhuri, Madhuri’ wherever she went. While the actor seemed at ease, later even obliging the security persons by clicking pictures with them, the kids seemed hassled with all the limelight amid the crowd. But Madhuri was by their side all along.

As for Virat-Anushka, the couple’s Christmas time in the lap of the Himalayas was more relaxed. They reached the Jolly Grant airport on Saturday in a private plane, and headed to a luxury destination spa resort at Narendranagar in Tehri district, located around 20 km from temple town Rishikesh. Their visit was kept highly confidential. It is worth mentioning that a section of Anushka’s maternal family lives in Dehradun, and Virat has been a brand ambassador for Uttarakhand Tourism.
