Cricketer Harbhajan Singh (right) might have made a cameo in the Salman Khan- Akshay Kumaar starrer Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), but he rules out any plans for acting in the future. “Whatever I have done in the past, or whatever I am doing currently–– woh sab toh shauk ki wajah se kiya hai (I made a cameo and I am a judge, because liked it). But acting is not my cup of tea,” he says. The 36-year-old feels he doesn’t have the required skill set to become an actor. “I am a cricketer, and that’s what I’m good at. That’s my profession, and will remain so in future too,” says Harbhajan who is preparing himself for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League, which starts on April 5.

Calling acting and cricket extremely different professions, Bhajji laughs, “You can’t move from playing cricket to acting in films, or vice versa. Aap Big B (Amitabh Bachchan) ko bolo ki aap agle saal IPL Khelo. Kya woh khel payenge? Jaise woh cricket nai khel payenge, waise main acting nai kar paunga.”

The Jalandhar born offspinner who is also fondly known as the Turbanator, is currently a judge on MTV Roadies. Bhajji says that he’s only passionate about cricket. “Cameos and judging are fine but when it comes to doing full-length feature films, I get on the back foot. Frankly, right now, I don’t have the time for acting, and more importantly I don’t have any passion for it.”
