Actor Krystle D’Souza (right) has come a long way since she made her debut on television with the soap Kahe Naa Kahe in 2007. Having tasted success with shows such as Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Ha, and Ek Nayi Pehchaan, she had a great 2016, thanks to her hit supernatural show, Brahmarakshas.

Does she want to tread the path that many TV stars have before, that of films? “I’d be lying if I said no. Yes, I am looking at movies and looking to grow. I want to do a good movie where I have the most important or very good role. Six years ago, I’d have had a different answer but today, I’ve created a brand for myself. When I do a film, I want people to be spellbound by it. If it isn’t a big bang entry into films then it isn’t worth it. And, TV is the best! At least, I’m the queen here,” says Krystle.

As for Brahmarakshas, her first supernatural show, she says: “It worked out well and was something new for me as an actor, too. (Producer) Ekta Kapoor is like family. Working with her was comfortable, as I started my career with her. But this show was a new experience. Since I was returning to TV after over two years, I was bit anxious. It was scary, but I had a lot fun doing the show,” says Krystle, who also learnt some behindthe-scenes techniques in the process.
