If you’re a cricket fan, we don’t need to tell you what’s happening on Sunday. But, what we would like to tell you is that as India take on Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy restaurants in Delhi-NCR are armed with quirky offers, great deals and discounts. “Cricket is a sport loved by all, especially when you have your own country playing,” says Vineet Wadhwa, of Fio Cookhouse & Bar in Nehru Place, adding, “We will screen the match as the energy pool is bigger and the perks to go with it just make the sport more exciting.” The restaurant is offering a round of shots every time India hits a six and takes a wicket. There’s also a combo of 2+1 on select alcohol till the match is over.

If you are feeling epicurious, then Molecule Air Bar in Gurgaon plans to put a spin on regular dishes. They have curated a menu with specialities like a shots platter, Wicket Paneer Tikka platter, and more. “We will be giving jerseys of India cricket team at the entrance,” says owner Manish Sharma. Not only this, guests can also enjoy complimentary shots each time India take a wicket.

And if you already aren’t charged up enough, here’s another deal that will keep you in high spirits. At Prankster, Gurgaon, on offer are complimentary shots for the first 15 people on the bar on each wicket of Pakistan.

To encourage patrons, The Junkyard Café, Connaught Place, has named cocktails after cricketers. So, how about some Beware of Indian Players, Raina Shots and Virat Shooters? “The match between India and Pakistan is not only a match between the players, but it always feels like we all are playing on the pitch,” says owner Umang Tewari. At Gatsby by BW in Greater Kailash, if you wear blue to show support to the team, then you get complimentary shots. If your tees have slogans like ‘I love Virat Kohli’ or ‘We love India’, then you are entitled to a discount. For those who like their victories sweet and drinks chilled, Storm Version 2.0, East of Kailash, is offering unlimited drinks for ` 999 for one inning. “We are also curating a special menu with items like Dhoni’s Flying Helicopter, Kohli’s Cover Drive, Ashwin’s Top Spinner, Rohit Passiontini, Ravinder Mojito Jadeja to name a few,” says owner Shamit Ajmani.
