I WAS WRITTEN OFF FOR BEING FAT: SURBHI

Television actor Surbhi Chandna says that she was rejected for the TV show, Ishqbaaz, because she looked fat opposite the male lead, actor Nakuul Mehta. “Initially, many people had an image of me that I am not a heroine material, that I don’t look like an Indian TV heroine. I had also put on some weight for the show, so in front of Nakuul [Mehta], I used to always look fat, plump. So, many people wrote me off initially, saying that I won’t work,” she was quoted by Pinkvilla. She is still on the show.
