Ever since Karan Wahi was seen playing an important role in the 2014 film Daawat-e-Ishq, his fans thought that the actor would be seen in more films. However, that has not happened yet and the actor feels that it takes time to find a foothold in every field.

“Be it TV or Bollywood, you need to work hard to create your own space and niche. Working in Daawat-e-Ishq gave me an idea about how the industry functions, and right now, I am taking baby steps towards understanding it better. I’ve been also reading scripts and meeting [more] people. You don’t become successful overnight; it takes time,” he says.

Asked about the status of his second film, Babbu Ki Jawaani, which is yet to see the light of the day, Karan says, “We had almost finished shooting the film. I don’t know why it isn’t being released. I have a feeling that it might not release.” He adds, “More than the success or failure [of a film], it feels bad that after you invest so much time, you want your efforts to be seen.” The film, which also stars Rhea Chakraborty, was shot two year back.

Karan has just taken part in a stunt-based reality show, and is thrilled about it. “The experience of facing my fears on my last [reality] show kind of helped me grow as a person. And yes, I have been doing a lot of nonfiction but I am open to doing fiction shows too,” he adds.
