On Monday, the trailer of the much-anticipated film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s (SLB) Padmavati was launched and it received an overwhelming response. Starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, the film promises to be an extravagant cinematic experience.

Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, says, “I am thrilled at the kind of response pouring in for our trailer. As producers, we have put in our best in the film. Bhansali is also in top form. The trailer has set an all-time high watermark on peak viewership within 24 hours, beating all recent landmark films. I thank the audiences for all their love and appreciation.”

Deepika says, “Bhansali brings out the best in me as an actor. The way he pushes you, challenges you... That’s what drives me to do his films.” Calling Bhansali a “genius” and “master craftsman”, Shahid says, “It is so difficult to explain the magic of working with him. He has a plethora of talent within him. It’s been a magical journey. I feel very fortunate.”

Ranveer too is all praise for the filmmaker, with whom he has worked earlier. “Bhansali has opened my eyes, expanded my universe and given me wings to fly. He’s brought out aspects which I never realised I had in me,” he says.

Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is all set for a worldwide release on December 1, 2017.
