-

Bruno Mars, Drake and Ed Sheeran have scored a maximum number of nominations at the upcoming American Music Awards. Mars topped the list with six nods in Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Favourite Male Artiste — Pop/Rock, Favourite Album — Soul/ R&B, Favourite Song — Soul/ R&B and Favourite Artiste — Adult Contemporary categories, reported Billboard.

Sheeran and Drake follow the singer with five nominations each. Besides them, The Chainsmokers and Kendrick Lamar are also up for the fight to win the award for Artist of the Year.

In the New Artist of the Year category, the tussle is between James Arthur, Niall Horan, Julia Michaels, Post Malone and Rae Sremmurd.

Rihanna is nominated in two categories — Favourite Female Artist for Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B. Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Shakira are contenders in the category of Favourite Artiste — Latin.

The Weeknd’s Starboy is up for competition from Drake and Mars in the Favourite Album category. inger Pink said that she regretted siding with Taylor Swift in the much-publicised feud between her (Taylor) and Katy Perry. She said that she should’ve kept her opinions to herself.

The 38-year-old musician had rooted for Team Taylor when she was asked to quickly pick a side while appearing on a radio show in London. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Pink said, “I should’ve just kept my mouth shut. I felt rushed, and I didn’t know what to do. And I paid for it because then the next day: Pink is Team Taylor (came out).”

The singer added that she has matured after becoming a mother of two (kids) and has more important things to focus on than paying attention to a bitter squabble between two rivals. Pink has two children with husband Carey Hart — sixyear-old daughter, Willow Sage and nine-month-old son, Jameson Moon.
