Actor Nidhhi Agerwal, who was touted to be the next big thing in Bollywood when her film Munna Michael, opposite Tiger Shroff, was set to release, isn’t disheartened by it not finding many takers at the box-office. “I am not from the industry, so I am not used to a Friday becoming so important, and one film becoming everything. I got a film, gave it my all, but I was not prepared for the reaction. It took me a week to get over it. Of course, I wanted it to earn 100 crores, but no issues, my next film will. People are quick to judge you on everything — right from your films to your fashion sense,” says the 24-year-old.

Now, she is all set to star opposite actors Naga Chaitanya and R. Madhavan in the Telugu flick Savyasachi, which will be an actionromance. Asked if she feels this “switch” to south cinema was too quick, Nidhhi says, “There’s no switch! As an actor, I want to do everything. Also, since the script was really strong, and the director was good, I just had to take up this film. The shooting style and atmosphere is different, but I am liking it a lot.”

Learning a new language for a film can get tough, but the actor isn’t apprehensive. “I understand basic Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. I need to learn my dialogues, but there’s a problem in picking up the accent. It doesn’t come to me naturally. But I picked up the language fast,” she says.
