Aishwarya Sakhuja feels that acting is an unstable profession
Actor Aishwarya Sakhuja has been a prominent name on television with shows such as Trideviyaan and Comedy Classes to her credit. She was also seen in the second season of the popular show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
While many aspire to get into showbiz, lured by fame and money, Aishwarya feels that being an actor isn’t easy.
She says, “I love everything about the job, how you move from one project to another. That beech wala time — when you are looking for a job — also exists [in our profession]. But I have never felt that [it is a part of your] struggle. However, it [surely] also makes me feel insecure, every minute of the day. And it gets frustrating at times when you don’t have a stable job that gives you security for future.”
Aishwarya, who is currently in talks for a new show, further explains, “In this waiting period, you end up doing so much of introspection, and discover a lot about yourself.”
Ask her if this ‘frustration’ makes an actor [including herself] end up taking wrong professional decisions, and she says, “I, personally, have never rushed into anything. I may have not done a lot of hit TV shows, but I don’t have a single regret when it comes to my professional choices, ki ‘yeh show nahi karna chahiye tha’.
It’s always been a conscious decision when it comes to the kind of choices I have made,” she says.
