There is more interest in Aditya’s life, says Kunaal

Actor Kunaal Roy Kapur confesses that he does not go out or socialise much, and prefers staying indoors when not shooting for a film or doing stand-up shows. However, the Kaalakaandi actor says it doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy attention.

“There is more interest in Aditya’s (Roy Kapur, his brother) life. His female fan following is increasing every day. We both go to the gym and sweat it out to stay fit. But only Aditya gets clicked, and no one clicks sweaty photos of me,” he jokes, when asked about why brothers, producer Siddharth and actor Aditya Roy Kapur are in news more than him.

“It’s not that I shy away from the limelight. At times I do feel uncomfortable, but I do enjoy attention when I get it,” he explains.

While he has worked with Aditya in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), talking about working with his more illustrious family members in the future, including sister-inlaw, actor Vidya Balan, Kunaal says there are no such plans in the near future. “We have to find the right kind of project. Right now, we are happy in our own space, and are exploring what more can we do in the kind of work with enjoy doing,” says the actor, who has done films such as Loins of Punjab Presents (2007), Delhi Belly (2011), and Action Jackson (2014).

Kunaal also plans to go behind the camera soon. “I’d love to direct a movie, but there is time before that happens. I want to first finish the projects that I have at hand,” he concludes.
