Aleya’s first step in B-Town

-

Indian cinema is vast. We’ve seen people from different genres step into a film director’s shoes and kick start their career in Bollywood. One such industry is advertising. Bollywood has gotten some amazing directors from this industry.

From Satyajit Ray to Ram Madhavani, all have been ad film directors prior to their foray into B-town. Shyam Benegal, Pradeep Sarkar, Raju Hirani and Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra are some of the other names that have made it big in films after moving from the world of advertising.

Yet another promising director who forayed from the ad world is now ready to showcase her talent and this time it’s a lady, Aleya Sen, who has already made her mark in the ad-film world, makes her presence felt with her directorial debut

Dil Juunglee.

Whatever she does is with conviction, but at the same time she’s thankful to God for making her debut film a smooth journey. While talking to us she says, “Yes many say the first film is always a difficult one but in my case I was lucky to have had such great producers like Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. When I narrated the story to them they liked it so much that they immediately gave a nod to it. Even in terms of the music of the film, Jackky and I were on the same page.”

“I was elated to work with Aleya, she’s simple, gifted and excellent at what she does. It certainly shows through the number of accolades she’s won for all her work in the advertisement world. It’s been great fun working with such a talented director” says Deepshikha Deshmukh

Dil Juunglee is directed by Aleya Sen, presented by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani. Dil Juunglee releases today
