Rich time for me as a creative person: Ranveer
For actor Ranveer Singh, it’s a ‘rich’ time in his career because he is getting to be a part of challenging and stimulating film projects with the biggest names of Bollywood.
“I’m blessed that I’ve the opportunity to work with best filmmakers in the business such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Zoya Akhtar, Rohit Shetty and Kabir Khan. It’s a rich time for me as a creative person. I’m getting to do loads of different things, keeping myself stimulated and challenged. I’m excited about my upcoming films,” says Ranveer.
The 32-year-old actor, who is collaborating with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for the first time in Simmba, is thrilled with the project. “Sangram Bhale Rao aka Simmba is a cop. And more than anyone else, I’m very excited about collaborating with Rohit. He is the king of masala films, which are loved more than any other films. And that is something I believe I was born to do,” says Ranveer, who has given hits like Padmaavat (2018) and Bajirao Mastani (2015) with his rumoured girl friend actor Deepika Padukone.
In Zoya Akhtar’s next, Gully Boy, Ranveer is paired with actor Alia Bhatt. The film is based on rappers of Mumbai and their struggles. On the progress of the film, he says,“More than half of the shooting is complete. I will complete it by May.”
Ranveer is also prepping for his role in Kabir Khan’s directorial, 83 — a film on Indian cricket team that won the World Cup.
