Salman's biggest hichki? Took work very casually, he says

Salman Khan has the kind of mass base that’s best described in one word: phenomenal. His most recent release, the spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai, has torn through box-office collection records. So, he must have always been this very diligent, hardworking superstar, right? Well, turns out that even superstars do have a ‘hichki’ or hiccup.

The makers of the Rani Mukerji-starrer Hichki — directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, produced by Maneesh Sharma and releasing on March 23 — are promoting the film in a unique manner by asking prominent personalities to share their unknown weaknesses and how they eventually converted that into strengths. And to this, Salman revealed his biggest hichki to Rani — that the superstar took his work very lightly, until recently.

While complimenting Rani on her “brilliant work” in Hichki, the Dabangg (2010) star told her, “I used to have a hichki that I used to take my work very casually. Now, that has changed as I take my work seriously and do it with all sincerity. Because now I’ve realised that kaam se behtar kuch nahi hain (nothing is better than work). I guess all of us should also take our work seriously and appreciate the fact every day that we get to work.”

Salman and Rani have worked together in films such as Baabul (2006), Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000), and Hello Brother (1999).
