₹5 crore pay cheque for a 15 minute performance?

It’s believed that Ranveer Singh is making a whopping amount for his outing at the opening ceremony of IPL on April 7

Clearly, Ranveer Singh’s popularity is on the rise. After getting rave reviews for his outing as the menacing Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, the actor is busy with back-toback biggies such as Gully Boy, Simmba and ’83 (based on Indian cricket team’s victory in the 1983 world cup). Now, he is ready to set the stage on fire during the opening ceremony of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League on April 7.

But what’s most interesting is that Ranveer is apparently set to make a whopping ₹five crore for his performance at Wankhede Stadium. “He will be shaking a leg for about 15 minutes, but the organising team was always clear that they wanted Ranveer as a performer, and that’s why he has been offered such a huge amount,” says an insider close to the development.

Thanks to his popularity as well as energy levels, Ranveer has a huge connect with the masses. “His appeal cuts across cities, age-groups and has an equally big fanfollowing among men and women. That’s why the organisers felt that he is the perfect fit for the performance at this year’s IPL opening ceremony. The organisers are extremely happy that Ranveer has given his nod for the event,” says the insider.

Ranveer, on his part, is also said to be “extremely kicked” about his performance. “Going by his past performances, he wants to give audiences a breath-taking performance and so, he is taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to start rehearsals for the same. He is currently busy shooting for Gully Boy and also prepping for Simmba but has decided to balance out time for his performance’s rehearsals as well as other professional commitments,” adds the informer.

RANVEER IS APPARENTLY SET TO MAKE A WHOPPING ₹FIVE CRORE FOR HIS PERFORMANCE AT WANKHEDE STADIUM.
