Tuscany, Dublin, New York... Priyanka Chopra’s journey

Priyanka Chopra’s Instagram account is chock-a-block with clicks from the new season of Quantico. The actor has turned on the heat in Season 3 as her character goes back to navigating the dangerous waters of the American intelligence community, which she left behind three years ago when she retired to Italy. Season 3 will see series regulars Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy Russell Tovey, and Blair Underwood return to essay their roles. Oscar- and Golden Globewinning actor Marlee Matlin and Indian-origin actor Vandit Bhatt, of Madam Secretary fame, have also been cast.

Priyanka talks about the show’s Season 3 and her time in Hollywood.

What was it like to work on the third season of Quantico?

It was a really, incredibly fun experience this year, because we had just 13 episodes this season. There was no pressure of working for the entire year. We shot outdoors…we went to Tuscany, Italy..then we went to Dublin, Ireland, and shot all over Ireland. We shot in New York too. So, it was just very cool…as a cast, we got to travel and got to know each other.

There are a few new faces. How was it to work with them? Vandit Bhatt says you’ve made him feel very comfortable on the sets...

I feel like I kind of take the responsibility for doing that… whoever comes on the sets, because I feel responsible for the show. And it was Vandit’s first day and this other actress called Amber Skye Noyes…it was both of their first day together and they’re wonderful. He’s amazing in the show as well!

When the show is over, who is the one person onset you will miss working with the most?

We’ve become friends off-set, so we always meet each other and hang out anyway if the shoot is not on. But I don’t think I’ll miss them, because whenever we’re in the same city, we all meet over dinner and catch up and stuff like that. Well, I will miss the crew and director, definitely. The crew is amazing!

What do you like the most about working in Hollywood?

I think I like the fact that when a certain amount of time is allotted to the shoot, it finishes in that amount of time. You don’t really have to go over a lot. We go over a lot back home [in Bollywood].

What are you currently watching on television?

I’m watching Young Sheldon, because I’m a big fan of The Big Bang Theory and, of course, there’s Game of Thrones. The final season is coming and I’m so excited for that. But I haven’t gotten into binge-watching yet.

Living in the US, what is the one thing you miss about India?

I love being late and I can’t do that here! I miss it so much! Quantico season 3 premieres tonight and will air every Saturday at 9pm on Star World
