SHRADDHA WILL MARRY AMAN OF HER CHANCE SAYS DAD
Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor says his daughter, actor Shraddha Kapoor, will marry a man of her choice.
Asked about Shraddha’s wedding plans, Shakti says, “Every father wants his daughter to get married into a good and respected family. I wish that she grows in her personal and professional life, but I think as a parent, you have to give some kind of liberty to your children. Those days are gone when parents used to get their children married [to a person] of their (parents’) choice. Now, we have to ask them about their choices in terms of everything, including their life partners. Right now, she is very busy in her career, but whenever she will tell us about her marriage plans, she will marry a man of her own choice and we don’t have any objection with that.”
Shakti also says that he is happy that Shraddha, who will next be seen in Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal’s biopic, is working hard to take on challenging roles.
“In today’s time, every actor is taking challenges in his/her career. Right from Ranbir Kapoor to Farhan Akhtar, actors are doing really well in biopics. Shraddha will play the character of Saina Nehwal [in her upcoming film]. She has trained with Saina in Hyderabad and, now, she is continuing her training,” he says.
On the subject of her other projects, Shakti adds, “Shraddha will head to Abu Dhabi to shoot for Saaho along with Prabhas. She is also working with Rajkummar Rao in Stree and Batti Gul Meter Chalu... So, I’m really happy that she is working in every genre at this point in her career.”
The veteran actor is renowned for playing negative roles in films such as Rocky (1981), Chaalbaaz (1989), and Andaz Apna Apna (1994).
On his own journey in the film industry, Shakti says, “My journey in the industry has been really good and the children are also doing really well in their life. I think God has been really kind and it is also blessing of the audience.”
