She is clearly on a career high. After tasting big success with Judwaa 2 last year, Jacqueline Fernandez is set to hit the screen with Race 3, co-starring Salman Khan. And on Sunday, at the IPL finals, she experienced fan frenzy of a different kind, when Chennai Super Kings’ fan club, Whistle Podu Army, showed their love for her with a unique gesture.

“It goes without saying that the super-energetic Whistle Podu Army showered their team with lots of love and cheers in the finals of Indian Premier League. But it was interesting to see that they were loudly cheering for Jacqueline as well. This fan club is believed to be a big fan of Jacqueline,” says an insider.

Members of the CSK fan club were spotted wearing official jerseys of the IPL team, and each jersey had one letter from Jacqueline’s name printed on it — the fans stood in a row, spelling out the actor’s entire name. “It was such a sweet gesture. Even Jacqueline was surprised and overwhelmed,” the insider says.

The actor showed her “love and excitement” by responding to this CSK fan club through Instagram. Jacqueline, who had performed during the opening ceremony of the IPL, danced on stage at the closing event as well, at Wankhede Stadium. When contacted, she told us, “I was pleasantly surprised when I got to know about this. It was really sweet of them to express their love in this way. I was overwhelmed and touched by their gesture. Lots of love back to them and all my other beautiful fans, who never leave a chance to make me feel so special.”
