Actor Ali Fazal recently announced his next project, Telugu film Prasthanam’s (2010) Hindi remake titled Prasthaanam that also stars actor Sanjay Dutt. However, what’s interesting is that the actor, unlike his other projects, did not read the script of this film, before giving his nod.

Ali, who has been part of films such as Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016) and Fukrey Returns (2017), will play the role of Dutt’s son in the remake of the hit Telugu political thriller. Confirming the news, Ali’s spokesperson says, “It’s the remake of a cult Telugu film and when Ali heard the synopsis and the amazing team involved with the project, that itself was a great reason for him to come on board. His role is extremely different from what he has done so far.”

If sources are to be believed, Ali’s admiration for Dutt also played a big role in him saying yes to the project. “When Ali got to know about the production and the fact that he would be playing Sanjay’s son, he was excited to no limits. And to show just how much he was looking forward to working with the Dutt, Ali did not even read the script of the film given to him by the original director, Dev Katta, who is also helming the remake, before signing it,” informs a source.
