Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson lead heist movie

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot will star opposite Dwayne Johnson in the upcoming movie Red Notice.

Rawson Marshall Thurber, director of Johnson’s latest movie, Skyscraper (to be out next month), is helming the film from his original script. Shooting will begin next April in Europe and it will release worldwide in June 2020, as per hollywoodreporter.com.

Thurber flew to London for less than 30 hours just to pitch Gadot in person for the role.

The film’s log line is being kept under wraps, but it is described as a globe-trotting action comedy, a heist thriller designed as a three-hander between Johnson, Gadot, and another male star who will soon be cast. Gadot plays a brilliant and mysterious figure in the art world.

Red Notice marks Gadot’s first starring role outside the DC universe since she joined Hollywood’s A-list with Wonder Woman. She is now shooting for Wonder Woman 2 with director Patty Jenkins.

She recently joined hands with Sue Kroll for My Dearest Fidel, based on Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s closeness to an American journalist.
