NIKKI JITTERY AHEAD OF WEDDING TO JOHN CENA

Model-actor-wrestler Nikki Bella says that she is “all sort of messed up” ahead of her wedding to actor and wrestling star John Cena. It’s not clear now, however, if the wedding will take place at all.

On Total Bellas — the show is about Nikki and her sister Brie, both stars of the WWE show wrestling franchise, and the men in their lives, also pro wrestlers — Nikki says that she found herself pulled in many directions with regard to her wedding plans.

“I’m all sorts of messed up,” Nikki says on the show in a therapy session just weeks before her scheduled wedding. “It’s like a hot mess over here,” adds Nikki, who is worried about losing her identity by marrying Cena.

“I want him to live the life he wants and I think that’s why I’ve always sacrificed for him. I love taking care of people, but I think I’m so overpleasing,” she says. “I think it makes me feel like I’m going to be forever a wife, someone’s wife. Like, I’m not going to be Nicole (real name) or Nikki.”

She says that such feelings have trickled into her professional life, as she feels she was only being recognised as “John’s fiancee”.

Nikki adds, “Some of me is like, ‘Why did I want marriage so bad? Why am I even doing this?’ Because I don’t know how much longer I can go without actually having a big meltdown.”

Ultimately, she says, her concerns are likely a result of pre-wedding jitters, but she still wants to step back and do some “soulsearching.”
