Keen on acting in and producing a Gujarati film, actor Vatsal Sheth is currently on the lookout for an interesting script. He says that the offers that have come his way so far have not been appealing enough.

“Being a true blue Gujarati, I’ve been thinking for quite some time now to do a film in the language. There have been a few offers but nothing has been gripping enough for me to take it up. The moment I get the right script, I plan to both act in and produce the film,” says Vatsal, who made his Bollywood debut with Taarzan: The Wonder Car (2004). He followed it up with a number of Bollywood films, including the Salman Khanstarrer Jai Ho (2014).

The actor shares that he wants to do a hard core romantic film or a project based on a real life incident, as such stories interest the audience.

“A beautiful romantic film or a movie based on some true story is something that I would love to do. I also enjoy watching sport films, so, I’d want to explore that genre as well. I remember watching this film called Eddie The Eagle (2016) where Hugh Jackman coaches this young kid and prepares him for the Olympics. The way the film highlights their journey is amazing,” says Vatsal, who was last seen in the TV show Haasil.

The actor took a break when the show got over and is currently in talks for his next project on the small screen. He also adds that he is ready to balance both films and television.

“For me, the kind of work I get involved with as an artist is important. If the character is appealing enough, then the medium is not important. So, whichever medium offers me substantial work, I will take it up. I am ready to balance my work in different mediums as well,” he adds.
