Actor Neha Kaul is a trueblue Delhi girl at heart, but her love for acting took her to Mumbai in 2009. It wasn’t long before she realised that the road to success was not going to be easy.

“The entertainment industry can be quite ruthless at times. Making a name is tough but maintaining it is even tougher. When I left Delhi and came to Mumbai, the biggest problem I faced was that nobody was ready to rent out a flat to a single girl who wants to be an actor. In addition to that, I faced numerous rejections and skipped meals to give maximum auditions in a day,” says Neha, who has been part of shows such as Tu Mera Hero and Bahu Humari Rajni Kant. Her role alongside actor Karan V Grover in Bahu Humari Rajni Kant got her a lot of appreciation.

However, the vivacious 28year-old is very happy to have faced these struggles because in her opinion they refined her as an artist.

“I am happy to have gone through these lows because success is sweetest to those who have tasted the bitter fruit of failure,” she says.

The actor accepts that the television industry has more competition with the demand for new talent. “With growing competition, every day numerous new faces are trying hard to make it in the industry. It is an incessant struggle to enter the field and then keep yourself in the game,” she says.
