Questions to ask yourself before you get into a relationship
Being fond of someone is one thing, and getting into a relationship is another. It comes with its share of commitments, and you need to be sure about your decision. Ask yourself these questions before you go ahead with it:
Is loneliness a reason?
People often confuse wanting to get into a relationship with loneliness. We like, when we have someone to spend time with. But that’s not why you should get into a relation. You need to get into one if you really like the person.
Are you ready?
There are stages in life when you take life changing decisions like changing cities, or your job etc. At these times, you might not have time to invest in a relationship and so should know your priorities before committing to someone.
Is your ex in you mind?
Thinking about your ex once in a while is OK, but obsessing over them because you want to get back to them is a different condition. If that’s the case, then you’re probably getting into another relationship to get over them, which isn’t the right reason.
What are you looking for from the relationship?
You need to be clear what exactly it is that you’re looking for. If you want something serious, and your prospective partner wants to keep it casual, then it’s a recipe for disaster.
