Much like other actors, Mustafa is also keen on being a part of a biopic. And, the actor shares that he’d love to work in a film made on cricketer Virat Kohli’s life, as his achievements will make for a very interesting film.

“The biopics that are being made now are brilliant. Look at Sanju, I loved the film. Such films require a lot of clarity and are very difficult to make because if you go wrong somewhere, the essence of the story gets lost. I’d love do a biopic. Virat is my favourite player. I’d love to portray his character on screen. I used to play cricket. In fact, I still do. So, a film on cricket is something I will be able to connect with,” says Mustafa, son of Abbas Burmawala of the director duo AbbasMustan.

Before making his Bollywood debut with Machine (2017), Mustafa had assisted for films such as Players (2012), Race 2 (2013) and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015).

Asked is he plans to take up direction anytime soon, Mustafa confesses he doesn’t see himself as a director: “Honestly, I don’t really see myself as a director. I assisted them to know more about the art of cinema.”

On how he deals with expectations that come along being the son of a popular filmmaker, Mustafa says, “I thank God that I had my father and uncle to guide me. But, the bad part is the expectation. So, I have decided to keep calm and work harder. About nepotism, it’s everywhere… It’s quite natural for your parents to help you,” he says.
