Eight years and 13 films into his Bollywood career, Ranveer Singh boasts of an impressive body of work, including his performance in the 2017 blockbuster historical drama, Padmaavat. Ranveer says he finds acting limitless as a craft.

The 33-year-old, who made his debut playing a streetsmart boy-next-door in Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), credits his passion for his drive and motivation in his career so far. “I am genuinely passionate about the craft of acting, and the more I perform, the more I realise that there are no limits to this craft and to how much I can learn,” the actor says.

“So the more work I do, I realise that there is very little that I know, and that the possibilities are endless. I also have an aim, or you call it ambition, or goal, to have, at the end of my career, an illustrious body of work and an illustrious filmography— one I can be proud of, and I am continuously working towards that,” says Ranveer, who will play former India all-rounder and World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev in the upcoming project ’83, to be directed by Kabir Khan.

The actor has impressed viewers and critics with his range and versatility with his work in Lootera (2013), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Bajirao Mastani (2015), and has upcoming big-ticket projects like Simmba and Gully Boy, apart from ’83, riding on him.

Speaking about his approach to the process, Ranveer says, “I’m trying to do the same things differently and constantly in exploration of myself trying to explore my repertoire. And yes, I’m in love with acting, and I’m in love with Hindi films. It’s the same love that is driving me.”
