Tanishk doesn’t like saying no to anyone

Even though music composer Tanishk Bagchi has created hit remakes such as Tamma Again (Badrinath Ki Dulhania, 2017), The Humma Song (OK Jaanu), Mere Rashke Qamar (Baadshaho , 2017) and Nit Khair Manga (Raid, 2018), he never wants to get “carried away” by the fame and adulation he gets. And to make sure that doesn’t happen, Tanishk feels that every song he composes is like the “first-ever song” he composed.

“If I start thinking that I am an established musician then that effort that I put in the composition of the song will no longer be the same. It is very easy to get carried away.

If I start thinking like that, my music will suffer and that’s the last thing I want to do,” Tanishk says.

“That’s why I treat every song of mine as my firstever song. When you are composing your first-ever song, you give it your best effort, so it’s your best song. You want everyone to listen to you with your first song, and when you have that kind of a mindset, every song you make will be good,” the composer adds.

Tanishk, whose recent hit is the Dilbar song from the movie Satyameva Jayate, also reveals that unlike other musicians, he doesn’t have the luxury of “saying no” to a project.

“I am still quite new in the industry, so I don’t think I can say no to anyone. I started like threefour years back, and so whatever I have done so far, is all by God’s grace, and I feel lucky that I have been able to work,” says Tanishk.

“I will never say no to anyone unless obviously, they are unprofessional or anything like that.

Even if I get two films that are in the same genre, with a similar storyline, I wouldn’t mind doing music for both of them, because at the end of the day both the films will still be different,” lastly adds the composer.
