Ishaan is a very good dancer: Shahid Kapoor

Apart from his acting prowess, Shahid Kapoor is also known to be a talented dancer. His brother Ishaan Khatter, too, left everyone impressed with his pretty neat dance moves in films such as Beyond The Clouds and Dhadak. However, the very unassuming Ishaan told us a few days ago that he doesn’t “think he is a better dancer” than his elder sibling.

Ask Shahid about it and he says with a smile: “Not at all! Ishaan is a very good dancer. I think he is just trying to be humble. According to me, he is definitely better than me (when it comes to dancing). Bahut achcha dance karta hai woh.” Tell him that a dance face-off between him and Ishaan would be great to watch and he says: “Absolutely not. Ishaan is very good and I am sure he will find his own space.”

Shahid has vivid memories of Ishaan visiting his film sets as a kid. “Ishaan wanted to be an assistant director in Udta Punjab (2016). When he first told me that, I remember saying, ‘see, I don’t want the pressure of having my brother (on my film set),’ especially since it was a very tough role. However, he stayed back, hung around but was down with jaundice soon,” he says. Shahid’s paternal feelings immediately sprang up. “Besides shooting, I was putting ‘thandi patti’ on his forehead. While doing the scene wherein Alia (Bhatt) and I meet for the first time, bhai saab bed pe pade huye the,” recalls the actor, who is busy juggling his time between personal and professional front, with his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor due to deliver their second baby, and his film Batti Gul Meter Chalu up for release.
