The buzz is that everyone’s going for a buzz cut!
Guys, it’s time to chop off the pompadour and quiff you’ve been sporting with an undercut all these months. It’s the military-inspired induction cut, popularly known as the buzz cut, that’s making buzz as the new ‘it’ hair trend for men. Your favourite celebs are already sporting it.

Hardik Pandya, too, are sporting the look. What makes the buzz cut the go-to style time and again, you wonder? Besides the fact that it’s a no-fuss hairdo, hair expert Rod Anker says, “Most men have this issue of receding hairline. With them becoming more confident about accepting their thinner hair, the buzz cut is gaining popularity. I have clients coming in with a request for this hairstyle.” If you’re thinking buzz cut is so vanilla, here’s the thing — it, too, has variations. Just that the most popular one is the butch cut for which the barber uses a size 3 clipper for trimming. The style has also taken the modelling world by storm. Leading male models are going for it, as it’s the preferred look on the ramp and for print ads. “It’s a global trend, and models are supposed to follow what’s working globally. My agency suggested me to go for it, and I have to say that my demand increased,” says Adarsh Raj, a 23year-old model. A word of caution: “Buzz cut flatters men with a chiselled jawline the most,” says celebrity makeup artist and stylist Jason Arland.
