Manoj buys gifts for his daughter from all his shoot locations

Manoj Bajpayee is not just an established actor, but also a family man who absolutely dotes on his sevenand-a-half-year-old daughter, Ava Nayla. He recently shot for a web series in Kashmir and is almost always busy with a host of projects at different locations. Irrespective of the place he shoots at, he makes sure to buy something for his daughter from there.

“Shooting time and schedules allow you time to buy and do something for your family. It is always possible to take out the time if you really want to do it. I always get time to concentrate on my family matters and buy gifts for my daughter and my wife.”

He bought a host of gifts for Ava from Kashmir. “I got a lot of dry fruits because she loves them and a special delicacy of Kashmir called Walnut fudge,” adds the actor who is known for his performances in films such as Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Satya (1998), Zubeidaa (2001), Aligarh (2006) and Aiyaary.

Most children throw tantrums when their parents have to go on trips without them. Does his daughter also complain about it? “My daughter is seven and a half years old and she doesn’t understand what it takes to be an actor. Yes, she complains about it as she is still very young. I think she has this consolation that her mumma is going to be with her all time. So that takes care of the tantrums when I’m leaving,” quips Manoj.
