ADITYA PLAYS WITH KIDS, BUYS GIFTS
When not prepping or shooting for a film, actor Aditya Roy Kapur prefers to play football with friends and underprivileged kids
Aditya Roy Kapur’s love for football isn’t unknown. The actor makes it a point to play the sport almost every Sunday, if he is not busy prepping for a film or shooting. And why not? Playing the game also helps him in staying fit.
During some of his football sessions, the actor has been spotted interacting with underprivileged children. And, at times, these kids would also join him to play football, and it seems all of them have a lot of fun together.
“Aditya loves kids and wants to encourage them to play the sport. The [underprivileged] children look up to him and often sport bandanas like the way he does during his games,” says a source close to the actor.
“In fact, he recently gifted them jerseys, water bottles, and footballs, so that they enjoy playing the game even when he is not there with them,” adds the source.
The actor hurt himself last year and again in June this year on the sets of Kalank. He was asked by his doctor to avoid playing the game for some time. However, now that he has “recovered,” he is actively playing the sport. “From past few months, after he has recovered, Aditya is back at doing what he loves the most,” adds the source.
Besides kids, the actor also plays football with his friends from the industry, such as actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan.
Meanwhile on the professional front, Aditya is busy with diector Abhishek Varman’s Kalank, also starring Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt. Also, he has started prepping for Sadak 2 — a Mahesh Bhatt directorial in which he is paired opposite Alia.
