Rajkummar Rao ok with fawning fans

The actor says he has received many marriage proposals on social media, and that his girlfriend doesn’t mind

Rajkummar Rao’s legion of fans includes quite a few women. And the actor, whose popularity is growing, shares he is flooded with marriage proposals from his fans in India and abroad.

“I have been getting a lot of love since the last one year, especially on social media and that too from my female fans. They write to me about how I looked good in a particular picture and also comment on my performance. There are also marriage proposals; I remember that a few women wrote to me saying ‘I want to marry you’. Well, I am not complaining. And why will I? There is so much love around me that I feel overwhelmed,” says the actor, hoping that he continues to get the love.

How does his girlfriend, actor Patralekha, react to all the female fan love? “She is cool about it,” he laughs.

Asked about his marriage plans, the actor is quick to add that nothing is on the cards anytime soon. “I don’t know. We are not planning anything. Right now we are just happy being together,” he says.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar is also excited to be collaborating with Patralekha in two projects. One of them is the second season of the web series on Subhas Chandra Bose, work on which is underway. The second is a film, Swagat Hain. The actor is tight-lipped about the status of the film. “The writing is on, by the end of the year the preproduction work will hopefully be done. We are planning to go on floors in 2019,” he signs off.
