Dancing shoes are taking Aayush places

- Shreya Mukherjee

Aayush Sharma, who made his acting debut with the recently released film LoveYatri, has jetted off to Sri Lanka, with wife Arpita Khan Sharma — their anniversary was on November 18 — and their son. This trip blends work and pleasure for the actor, who not only travelled around the island country but also performed at an event. Also a part of this holiday is a visit to the Maldives.

“As soon as he gets back from his vacation, he will announce his next film. Shooting is expected to begin next year,” says a source close to the actor. This holiday, adds the source, is much-needed family time. “Before and after LoveYatri’s release, Aayush didn’t have much time to spend with his family. So he has decided to take a break before getting back to work. He has about three or four films offers right now.”

LoveYatri, produced by Aayush’s brother-in-law, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, might have received a lukewarm response at the box office, but the songs from the film have topped the charts. Be it Chogada, Dholida, or Rangtaari, the melodious tracks are a hit. Thanks to these hit numbers, Aayush is getting a lot of offers to perform at various events. The performance in Colombo was one of them. In the film, the actor played a garba teacher.

“With the award season around the corner, Aayush has been approached to perform at [several] shows since his songs [from the film] are extremely popular. Not only have they dominated the music charts, but are also being played at clubs and colleges across the country... His dancing skills have been praised as well,” adds the source.
