Richa joins Priyanka for a cause
Often when actors take a stand for a cause or an issue, they are bullied by trolls on various social media platforms. Cyberbullying and trolling has become a serious issue in the age of internet, not just for actors, but for the common man too. There is a dire need to find a solution for fighting back such a mindset. Richa Chadha has been part of several discussions and forums to express her views about the topic. She has now been roped in by a major social media network that will host a liveathon, which will be hosted by Priyanka Chopra. A source says, “Richa would be speaking on the ways to tackle cyber bullying and giving her views on how such things can be curbed. Richa will address these issues through the liveathon.”
Richa says, “Cyberbullying is a far bigger issue than we realise. We are adults, matured in our thinking but such bullying on young impressionable minds is a concern. There is an alarming number of cases where trolls on the internet are causing serious harm to people. We should not negate that emotional and mental abuse, too, can lead people to a lot of anxiety and other emotional turbulence. It is saddening that there is a battalion out there, mostly anonymous, targeting people and trying to curb their freedom of speech.
It’s becoming a huge issue and we must, responsibly, try to curb this as much as we can.”
