Paridhi is happy with her tough career and personal choices

Actor Paridhi Sharma gained popularity on television with her show, Jodha Akbar, which had a two-year-long run. The show, in which she played the role of queen Jodha Bai also starred Rajat Tokas. Paridhi, who then decided to put her career on hold for motherhood, has now made a comeback with her latest show, Patiala Babes.

She says, “More than returning to work, it was a difficult decision to take a break to have my baby, as I was doing well in my career. Motherhood was worth it. It happened at the right time in my life and I looked after my baby for two years. Now that I am back to acting, thankfully, I have a loving and supportive family to take care of my child in my absence. It is tough to manage home and work. My in-laws have shifted from Indore to Mumbai, and they take care of my baby. And if they have to go out of town, my parents come over to help.”

She adds,“Yet, as a mother, at times, it is difficult to leave my child at home and go to work. But as a working woman, you have to make a choice, and I have. Now, it is time for me to focus on my career. I am happy with the choices I have made in my career and life.”

Paridhi feels everything happens for a reason and she is glad that she got to play different characters in her career, “and not be stuck with the same kind of roles”.

The Code Red actor adds, “In Jodha Akbar, I played a queen with heavy costumes and jewellery, and now, I play a simple housewife with woman-next-door kind of look. It is fun to push myself to do roles that help me grow as an actor.”
