‘The struggles and the achievements, everything has taught me something new’

- Shreya Mukherjee

Shraddha Kapoor believes in looking at life positively. The actor says she deals with life’s failures in a way so as to learn from her mistakes. She follows the same theory for her career. From Teen Patti (2010) to this year’s hit Stree and upcoming releases next year, Shraddha is happy that she is getting good opportunities.

Looking back at her Bollywood journey so far, the actor says it has been a good run and she has enjoyed every bit of it.

“More than anything in the world, I have been very grateful for everything. The struggles, the achievements, the success, everything has taught me something new. I know the ups and downs are not in my hands and I know that what’s in my hand is how good I can be at my work. So I try and do that, try my best to focus as much as I can,” she smiles.

Moving ahead, Shraddha wants to try different genres. “I definitely want to do different kind of work and I want to be a part of good films, most importantly good stories. And be the best part that I can be as an artist,” she adds.

Apart from her Bollywood films — Chhichhore, a biopic on Saina Nehwal, the sequel of Stree — Shraddha will be seen in the tri-lingual film Saaho with Prabhas next year. The film is being in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. And Shraddha says that she is delighted to have her hands full with interesting projects. Asked about her experience of working in Saaho and of Prabhas as a co-star, she says, “He is extremely humble and down to earth. It is always wonderful to collaborate with people like him who are co-operative. The whole team was like a big family. Since the film was shot in Hindi and Telugu so it’s literally like shooting two films. I mug up all my dialogues twice in two different languages, it’s hard work but I’ve really enjoyed it. My director (Sujeeth) helped me a lot and we used to rehearse together,” she adds.
