Actor Preity G Zinta, who is married to Los Angelesbased financial analyst Gene Goodenough, keeps shuttling between India and USA, for work. The actor was recently in India to promote her last release, Bhaiaji Superhit. Though most of her travel to her home country is solo, she does bring her husband along on special occasions.

And Gene, despite knowing that Preity is a popular figure back home, is still figuring out ways to adjust being in the public eye, she reveals. “I don’t think that Gene will ever get used to the paparazzi culture. He prefers to keep a low profile. Whenever we are together for the IPL, it’s crazy, but he adjusts well. I guess life is easier in the US because we get a lot of ‘us time’ together. We love going out for walks and hikes. We also go to the gym together,” says Preity.

Remind her that she has had a release after five years, and Preity immediately says, “Do not call it a comeback. Every film I do can’t be a comeback .”

She moved to LA after she got married in 2016, but that hasn’t changed the kind of offers coming her way. “Honestly, it depends on you. If you want to work, there is always work to do. If you are hard working and with good ethics, then great work will always be offered to you. Today audiences and film-makers care about good scripts and performances and not your marital status,” she says.
