For Sharad Kelkar, making sure that his daughter Kesha, grows up in a normal environment is of paramount concern. The actor and his wife, Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, try keeping their fiveyear-old away from all the glitz and glamour, and want her to look at life like any other child.

“The idea is to leave her alone. Mujhe meri parchayi bhi nahin dalni uss par. She should not grow up seeing how people treat me (as an actor). She should not be proud of what we are but understand that she’ll also have to put in hard work to earn a good life,” says Sharad.

The actor further elaborates on how as parents, they keep things regular around Kesha hoping that she’d grow up to be a responsible person.

“Whatever car I drive, Kesha has been given a very small car that takes her to school. I don’t want her to be part of discussions that I travel in a bigger car, hers aren’t big enough, etc. Her eating habits, at home, with people around her... everything is normal. We also don’t fly business class when she is travelling with us. So, we’re trying our best,” shares the actor, who is seen in web series Rangbaaz Phirse.

While Sharad is busy with work, Keerti is not taking up any full-time acting projects because she doesn’t want Kesha to feel neglected. “She wants to be by her side in her formative years,” he shares.

Asked if Keeti craves to get back to work, Sharad says, “She is a brilliant actor and in love with her craft. I’m sure she’ll go back to doing that but she doesn’t want to take up long term commitments. Also, in Mumbai, sets are quite far. It takes almost two hours to reach and another two hours to come back. That’s quite time consuming, and if we both do that, it won’t be good for Kesha,” explains the actor.

And does the little one already have an artistic bend of mind? “She doesn’t watch TV or films, but yes, she’s very much into painting and music. She loves doing both to the extent that she can spend hours doing them,” he says.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan says early in her career she was told to change her look if she wanted to land roles in Hollywood. Brosnahan recalled the pressure to alter how she looked, reports pagesix.com. “Early on, you get a lot of feedback on auditions. People give it to you like it is (the) Bible, like it is truth. I’ve been told so many times I had to change my hair and learn to do my makeup and buy different clothes. It starts to get into your head, and all those things are someti mes an attempt to fit a square peg into a round hole. The right thing will find you,” she said.

The actor says she has learnt to be confident about herself now. “I would spend money I didn’t have fixing my hair and makeup because I thought it would help me out. It’s not that serious. If the role is meant to be yours, it will be yours,” she said.

She also commented about being featured on a Times Square billboard. “I think my parents felt like my college tuition was worth it, and it wasn’t a hobby anymore,” said the actor. Brosnahan got popular as Midge Maisel in the series. Set in 1950s Manhattan, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, tells the story of Midge Maisel, who is trying to find her own voice after her husband leaves her. With music and lighter tones, the show by Amy ShermanPalladino and Daniel Palladino, puts the spotlight on gender issues, and the disparity.
