Actor Amruta Khanvilkar has had quite an adventurous last few months. From shooting in London, UK, to enjoying a complete family trip in the United States of America, her family trip had a fixed itinerary from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, followed by a visit to her cousin in Detroit and then to New York City.
Amruta says, “I think driving internationally got me excited as I drove through the Death Valley from Los Angeles to Vegas. I tried my hand at gambling in Vegas, but got damn unlucky so did not venture into it further.”
The actor loves trying out local food whenever she travels. And this time was no different, from donuts and cupcakes to ramen and bacon, she had it all. “I think I tried everything I could get my hands on, be it Spanish sea food or Paella to mouth watering Creme Brûlée. Also, I m a big fan for organic markets, so strawberries and raspberries and an acai bowl were my go-to snack,” she says.
On what she enjoyed the most, she adds, “Grand Canyon was breathtaking. I remember standing on the transparent floor of the skywalk on Grand Canyon looking at the view and telling myself ‘you are such a small creation of god just look around you’. It was breathtaking.”
She also recommends carrying seasonal clothes and shoes. She adds, “If you’re in US, you must visit the Grand Canyon, old Vegas town, the Paris restaurant, and get a taste of the Vegas nightlife. In NYC, don’t miss the sunset at the top of the rock Times Square. Enjoy the local food and desserts.”
