Thank god! I’m getting old: Eva Mendes
Actor-comedienne Rebel Wilson doesn’t feel comfortable naming the men who sexually abused her.
Wilson has spoken up about sexual harassment in Hollywood in the past, previously tweeting about a man in a “position of power” who requested sexual acts from her in 2017.
Speaking at the Australian Open’s Inspirational Women lunch on January, 31, she said she’s “not at ease with the idea of destroying people’s lives by naming them publicly”, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“I have obviously encountered instances of sexual harassment and I never actually publicly named the men involved,” Wilson said in her speech, according to the Herald Sun.
She went on to explain, “You have this weird feeling. Well technically, it wasn’t that bad. Is it worth destroying people’s lives over?”
She also reportedly opened up about a stalker that police had to “remove” from the courts during her defamation action against Bauer Media, after he arrived carrying flowers intended for the actor.
“(He) said he had made a bedroom for me at his farm and he was going to lock me in there, and I would grow to love him,” Wilson said.
Actor Eva Mendes is feeling anything but “bad” after a netizen said she is “getting old”.
The 45-year-old actor showed off her new haircut on Instagram recently. However, she ended up defending herself after a troll wrote “she’s getting old” on her post, reports etonline.com.
She replied to the user saying, “Thank God I’m getting old. That means I’m still here. I am gonna be 46 soon and grateful everyday that I’m aging. Was your comment suppose to make me feel bad? It did not. It makes me feel grateful. So thank you for the reminder that I am still here (sic).”
Another fan also called out the previous comment, writing: “‘Old’ is woman on woman negativity. This one isn’t out there offending anyone or in some scandal. She’s out here LIVING HER DREAM, huss-a-ling when she probably doesn’t even need to! Bringing us good looks. If Eva’s old, put me in all the senior communities (sic).”
Mendes replied, “I hear ya on the woman on woman negativity. Let’s make it all about love for 2020. So thanks for the love. Sending it right back (sic).”
