From the time I remember, my birthdays have always been big celebrations with all my friends and family and I’ve always been out of home,” says Nushrat Bharucha, who turns 30 today. While the lockdown is still in effect, she says it won’t affect her plans for a nice celebration. “I’ve always started celebrating a day prior. I would have a party and spend time with people I love, from sunrise, and end it on the next sunrise. I am going to try doing the same, but at home. I plan to party with my family. My mother and I will bake a cake, make some nice food and enjoy the day. I’ll remember this birthday for a lifetime,” she shares.

Bharucha describes her life in the lockdown as a period of “self reflection”. “Life has taken a complete turn. We were living a certain way and thought things are going to be like this forever. I don’t think it’s going to be like that any time soon. We all need to reset and think about what is going to be our new normal after this pandemic. I am blessed that I have a family together with me and my extended family across the world is safe,” she says.

But the actor says that she isn’t struggling with the new routine. “The idea of getting stuck at one place isn’t frustrating me. I wish we could have a house help, but I don’t have any complaints. Once I wake up, most of my day is spent doing household chores. In fact, I feel that I have taken up responsibilities. But I am worried about what life is going to be like once the lockdown opens and I don’t think anyone has the answer to that,” she concludes.
