Vivian Dsena rose to fame after his performance as Abhay Raichand in the hit vampire themed show, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (PKYEK) in 2010. His looks and dimpled smile helped the actor gain popularity among his female fans. However, Vivian says that he doesn’t give much importance to looks. He has often been complimented about his appearance but he says that he cares about his hair more than his looks. “Looks are something I pay the least attention to. I hardly invest in skin care but do take care of my hair, because I have extremely soft hair and they don’t stay in place,” he says.

After PKYEK, he delivered consecutive hit TV shows including Madhubala, which completed eight years of its launch. His fans have been posting and celebrating looks and scenes from the hit show online. Dsena feels that the entertainment industry is open for everyone and welcomes people with open arms.

“I became an actor by fluke. It was the only job I could find. You don’t need any particular qualification to be here. I really respect and love what the almighty has given me in life and I am happy about where I am today. I am thankful to God that he brought me to the city of dreams and he got me somewhere, I never expected to be,” shares the actor.

in your body.

■ Talk it out: Constant communication is important. Talk about anything that bothers you with a trusted person.

■ Have a balanced diet: We tend to snack too much when we are idle. Opt for a balanced diet and include seasonal fruits.

■ Avoid stimulants: Most stimulants, including tea, coffee and cigarettes, dehydrate you and eventually leave you in a bad mood.

■ Maintain a journal: It will allow you to express yourself and maintain your privacy at the same time.

■ Get some ‘me time’: Working from home can be tedious, with no maids to help you with chores. Find some time for yourself and do things you enjoy.

He adds, “When I started acting in 2008 after modelling, I started liking my work, and this is the only job I could find for myself. This is the best part about our industry, it is open to everyone, even if you are just a tenth standard or twelfth standard passout or a graduate. As I completed schooling but didn’t go to college, acting was a good job. I continued as I was enjoying it and little did I know that I would become well known and well accepted. Sometimes, I laugh when I look back, recalling how I started and where I landed. It’s actually the biggest fluke, or at least it looks like one,” he signs off.
