Moved by the plight of an abandoned indie dog at Singhu border, Manjinderpal Singh, a farmer from Garhdiwala, Punjab, decided to adopt her. Sukhjit Singh, a fellow farmer, beautifully narrated the story of the dog, braving the winter chill, on Facebook. We’re glad this doggo has found a forever home.
In a first, Bihar Police will induct transgenders into the force. A resolution passed by the state home department stated that members from the community could be appointed up to the level of Assistant sub-inspector (ASI). What a beautiful way to move towards inclusivity.
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is set to turn 10 old Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses into mobile schools, to prevent children from going astray. The civic body will identify such kids and hold bridge courses in a bid to bring them into mainstream education.

REVERING MOTHER EARTH
Actor Sonakshi Sinha took to Instagram to post a beautiful picture of herself against the backdrop of the setting sun. In a post dedicated to Mother Earth, she wrote, “We come from the earth... we return to earth... and in between we garden”. Sona, that is some food for thought.
