They often say a good marriage is like synchronised swimming. This engineer couple went a step ahead and tied the knot underwater off the Neelankarai coast, Chennai. It wasn’t stars, but changing tides that decided the wedding date. Clad in wedding finery, they exchanged garlands and tied the thaali before 7.30am, on instructions from the priest. Cool!

After decades of war in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, more and more women are working to remove lethal mines and IEDs from fields and cities of their homelands. The job is dangerous, and considered men’s work, but these women are changing the perception and they feel that in rebuilding their lands, they are rebuilding themselves.
