Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West recently shared a photo of a landscape painting her daughter North had made, calling the seven-year-old a “little artist” in an Instagram story.

However, social media users quickly began questioning whether or not North had actually painted the artwork, which was done in a style similar to the works of late artist Bob Ross, reported People magazine.

“i’m supposed to go but i can’t stop thinking about how north west did not paint this (sic),” wrote one Twitter user, whose message was later shared on Kardashian West’s Instagram, with the username blocked out.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN!!!” the 40-year-old wrote in a lengthy post. “My daughter and her best friend have been taking a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are being encouraged and nurtured. North worked incredibly hard on her painting with took several weeks to complete,” she continued, “As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone.”

Married to rapper Kanye West, Kardashian West called out the “grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this”. “How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of

NOT being awesome? Please stop embarrassing yourselves with the negativity and allow every child to be GREAT!” she wrote.

The mother of four — North, Chicago (three), Saint (five) and Psalm (21 months) — also posted a similar landscape painted by her daughter’s friend. “They go to the same art class!!!”she wrote, adding in another post, “Shout out to all the proud moms out there that love to show their baby’s masterpieces.”

She also went on to share drawings that her husband had done when he was young. “Throwback to some of her dad’s artwork that he did when he was a kid,” she captioned a series of sketches.

Onscreen portrayal of intimate scenes has changed over time. And with OTT making global content easily accessible, sex is breaking taboos. The recent series Bridgerton got eyeballs for presenting 19th century London’s high society with a bold approach towards intimacy. The show, which had an intimacy coordinator for shooting the scenes, was much loved by Indians, including Bollywood celebs.

After a number of hit TV shows, actor Aniruddh Dave has got another feather in his cap. While he is preparing to welcome fatherhood soon, the actor has also turned director. The Patiala Babes actor admits he always wanted to direct and will be pursuing his interest further.

Speaking about his inspiration in direction, Dave says, “Direction was always on my mind and for me, directing is not only calling the shots, it’s about giving shape to your vision. Series like Gullak and Paatal Lok were phenomenal and I loved the way they were directed. Moreover, Abhishek Sharma and Prosit Roy are some of the directors who inspire me. I have also always loved Anurag Kashyap’s way of directing.”

Dave turned director with a crime based show and is thrilled that actor Ronit Bose Roy came on board for the same.

“I was nervous when I met him initially and narrated the story to him. Ronit da is one of the most talented actors we have, and has done some great work and continues to do so. He has witnessed the golden era of Indian television. Whether it was the saas bahu sagas, or Adaalat, he was different in each show and people still remember him for his performances. Directing him for this series is a memorable experience. I started my career with TV and there is no one bigger than Ronit Da. His command over Hindi is exceptional and the way he articulates is commendable. It means a lot to me and I am grateful to him that I could start my directorial journey with a stalwart like him,” Dave shares.

We need to make our intimacyrelated content less scandaldriven, and more organic. A coordinator can help aid that. AASTHA KHANNA ,

My director and I had to be careful about not making my evil character look attractive. It’s cinema’s duty to not glorify evil.

We speak to Aastha Khanna — who claims to be the only certified intimacy coordinator from India — about the role of intimacy coordinators on set. “A secure environment needs to be ensured for performers. It also provides safety to productions from lawsuits. The idea is to facilitate effective communication and smooth production,” Khanna explains. When asked if Indian film and TV industry also hires intimacy coordinators, she says, “The market is great here, but not big enough yet. It’s a matter of educating and spreading the word. The productions also need to know about intimacy coordinators, to uphold best practices for safety on sets.”

Currently working as an intimacy coordinator for Shakun Batra’s next film, Khanna believes that Indian audience is ready for steamy content. “We need to evolve in our intimacy-related content, make it less provocative, scandal-driven, and more organic. A coordinator can help aid that. I feel the audiences are ready for [shows like] Euphoria or Outlander to come from Indian content creators,” she says, adding, “Intimacy is a basic human need. Then why not show it? And content is a mirror of society as human stories.”
