Actor-anchor Arjun Bijlani is in a phase in his career where he is getting to be a part of a variety of projects across mediums.

“I am all over the place, you can say (laughs). I am giving my best shot on different platforms and enjoying exploring interesting projects that are coming way,” says the State of Siege: 26/11 actor, who has been a part of diverse projects. “I never thought I’ll be able to win a stunt-based reality show that tested me in and out. Then, playing the role of a real-life hero (late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan) was really a tough call, but at the same time, made me absolutely proud of being an actor.”

Bijlani was among those to have worked amid the peak of the Covid-19 scare, but had no qualms in

doing so. “After the first lockdown, the only thing in my head was that I have to get back to work — how long can one can sit at home? Being in such a profession, we cannot work from home, except in bits and pieces. When I got a call for this [reality] show in South Africa, I did dither briefly as I had to be away from my family and that too at the peak of the pandemic. But then I was like kab tak aise baithenge darr ke, bina kaam ke… Since then, I got to be a part of a fun mix of things,” he shares.

The actor is presently anchoring a reality talent show, but confesses that fiction will remain his first love. “I enjoy dabbling in different genres, including reality shows. It is my fans who have given me the confidence of being myself on screen while doing reality TV. But somewhere down the line, I have and will [always] love being a fiction hero. My second OTT outing, Roohaniyat, gave me the chance to portray such an exciting character... This is what I love about fiction — it brings along a lot of thrill and revelation,” he signs off.
