Badshah opens up about battling depression, anxiety
Rapper Badshah recently opened up about his struggles with clinical depression and anxiety disorder on actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s chat show. He also revealed that he used to suffer from sleep apnea, a sleep disorder with irregular breathing patterns. Talking about how mental health is a priority for him today, he said, “Mental peace is a luxury for me, because of the pressure we feel every day. I have been through the darkest of times. When it comes to my mental health, I have been through clinical depression, I have been through severe anxiety disorder. So, I know I do not want to go there (again).”
YTalking about the changes he adopted, he elaborated, “You have to be selfish in a good way. You have to live with people who make you happy. You have to learn to say no. You have to learn to say yes. You have to be happy. We live under a lot of pressure. We have made our own lives messy, and then we complain that we are not mentally fit.”
After lockdowns, the Garmi (Street Dancer 3D; 2020) composer lost a lot of weight to regain the stamina to perform on stage. He shared that it also helped him recover from sleep apnea. “That got more intense with time, and it is dangerous. I had the problem, but now it is not there,” he added. eh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor and princess of Rewa Mohena Kumari Singh announced her pregnancy earlier this year. And recently, her close friends and husband, photographer Suyash Rawat, organised a surprise baby shower.
Overwhelmed by the surprise, Singh was left teary-eyed. She, along with her husband, went on to cut a cake to mark the impending arrival of the baby. Several games were also planned for the evening.
Taking to social media, Singh’s friend, actor and dancer Amey Mehta, shared a video from the baby shower. Thanking her friends and family, Singh wrote on Instagram, “Thank you for the most amazing baby shower I could get @vasundhrarajlaxmi I was so so overwhelmed and so beautifully surprised by this. Will never forget this day. The games, the decor everything was just amazing. Love you so much.”
Singh married Rawat in a traditional Rajput ceremony in Haridwar in 2019. They are going to be parents for the first time.
